Pictures of fun DIY's

I had some fun with some old blank canvas and some wall stickers.  I tried it out in my living room for a while.  Unfortunately,  the stickers did not like the canvas so if I were to do it again I'd have to tape/glue/secure the stickers on the canvas in a different manner.

New Toque - Winter is always around the bend....

Et Voila!  Jill wearing her new toque!
Here I took an old sweater and cut off the hood.  I sewed it together with the re-claimed thread from the same sweater.  I added a tie from the bottom of the sweater and added a cute button for a little contrast in colour.

Fun with an old Sweater

Old Sweater

Fun as a shrug
Take an old sweater, measure up to how short you want your new shrug and cut.  For a cute variation I cut some strips from the bottom up to create ties.  One is at the back and one at the front.  It's easy, no sew and cute over a white tank and jeans for an easy going weekend look.

No Sew Simple

Old Shirt
Grab an old Tee that has an interesting neckline.  Cut strategically along a hem so that you do not need to sew a new hem.  And voila!  Instant new and cute tank top!
New pretty tank top!

Two Old Shirts are now One

An old button down shirt
Funky twist on a white shirt.

This was a relatively simple project.  Cut your button and fabric off the button down shirt.  Cut your basic tee straight up the middle.  Sew in the buttons and away you go!  For variation you could easily add the collar and sleeves etc.

Button Bracelet

A selection of buttons

Play around and place buttons on a piece of fabric.  Here I used an old fabric belt and put velcro on either end to secure it.
I glued the buttons on the fabric and it was quick and easy to do!
